Last, But Certainly Not Least

Last, But Certainly Not Least

I've made it! Three months completed in Europe and I've finally hit my 14th country and 25th overall. Following my epic ride share from Ljubljana, I reached the capital of Hungary and quickly began my final three days in Europe before departing for Asia for the next five months.

The Most Underrated Country in Europe

The Most Underrated Country in Europe

There's a small little country buried just south of the Austrian Alps and just north of the dense forests and stunning beaches of Croatia which often is overlooked by travelers from across the globe. Never in a million years would I have predicted a country in former Yugoslavia to become one of my all-time favorite countries to visit, but alas, it is. Slovenia has got to be one of the most underrated and absolutely incredible countries I've ever been able to visit, and I of all the countries in Europe I've seen, this one takes the cake with having something for everyone!

Two weeks in Croatia

Two weeks in Croatia

Croatia has recently (at least in my eyes) become a hot destination for travel and understandably  so! The coastline is speckled with over a thousand islands and the interior is filled with gorgeous mountains and waterfalls. This country was truly a pleasure to visit, even if it was during the off-season for them.

The Beauty of the Polish Tatra Mountains

The Beauty of the Polish Tatra Mountains

Somehow I ended up in Zakopane, Poland, and boy am I glad I made it here. A little hiking time outside of the city was just what I needed for a few days before heading back to the cities. Like most of the other places I've ended up visiting, it has tended to come via a Google Maps search, and I've been getting pretty lucky. I guess that's the beauty of traveling, though. You really truly never know where your searching is going to take you, and that's why I'll continue to plot my next destinations with the same method: scroll, discover, and enjoy.

How the Baltics Surprised Me

How the Baltics Surprised Me

About a month before I was planning to arrive in Copenhagen, I found an $11 flight from there to Kaunas, Lithuania, a city I knew nothing about. Without thinking much, I bought the ticket fully expecting myself to possibly not even end up boarding my plane when the day came to head to the Baltics. Thankfully I did, and these three countries surprised me more than I could have imagined.

Revisiting Denmark

Revisiting Denmark

I've visited Denmark before, but my time spent in Copenhagen last year was abbreviated, in that the only weekend I was meant to spend in the city I visited Munich instead. So as much as I want to say I've "seen" Copenhagen before, I really can't. This was my chance to really see the city and get a feel for what it's all about.
